Who we are

Vinayakam Consultants Private Limited operates this website and is the data fiduciary for the personal data described here. Our registered office is at 2, Vakrangi Villa, Adarsh Colony, Udaipur, Rajasthan — 313001.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us. There are two routes:

• Enquiry form. Your name, email address, telephone number, company name where given, and the message you write.
• Newsletter. Your email address, if you subscribe.

We also collect limited technical information automatically — pages visited, approximate region, referring page, device and browser type — through our own first-party analytics. This is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and to follow up on it.
• To send the newsletter, if you asked for it.
• To keep our own records of correspondence and engagements.
• To meet legal, tax and regulatory record-keeping obligations that apply to us.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only where it is necessary:

• With service providers who host this site, deliver our email, or store our records, under obligations of confidentiality.
• With professionals — advocates, chartered accountants, company secretaries, merchant bankers — where your matter requires it and you have asked or agreed that we involve them.
• Where we are required to disclose it by law, or by a regulator, court or authority with jurisdiction over us.

Enquiry submissions are transmitted to a spreadsheet hosted on Google Workspace infrastructure. Data may therefore be processed on servers outside India, under that provider's terms.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to three years, so we have context if you come back to us. Records relating to an actual engagement are kept for as long as the relevant statutory retention period requires — under tax, corporate and professional record-keeping rules this is commonly eight years or longer. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to:

• confirm what personal data of yours we hold, and give you a summary of it;
• correct or complete anything that is inaccurate or out of date;
• erase data we no longer need for the purpose it was collected for, or for a legal obligation;
• withdraw a consent you gave us — for the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any issue, or write to us;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated.

Write to the address or email below and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

We restrict access to enquiry data to the people who need it, and rely on our providers' encryption in transit and at rest. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, and we ask you not to send sensitive documents through the website form.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics uses first-party storage only, to count visits without identifying you personally.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and their representatives. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top of this page.
